Things To Do…
Welcome to the Great Southern
-
Adventure
The region is renowned for its natural beauty, with a diverse landscape that includes rugged coastal cliffs, lush forests, and tranquil turquoise waters.
-
Food & Wine
The region boasts a vibrant food scene that showcases the best of local produce and flavors. Additionally, Albany is home to several wineries and vineyards that produce exceptional cool-climate wines, including world-class Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
-
Heritage
The ANZAC memorial in Albany, Western Australia, stands as a powerful tribute to the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) soldiers who served and sacrificed their lives during World War I.
Adventure
While in Albany we recommend getting outdoors and experiencing some of the great hiking in the area. A short and accessible walk is the Castle Rock Granite Skywalk in the Porongorup ranges, while those looking for something more can tackle the Bald Head Walk Trail.
Albany is home to some of the most pristine and picturesque beaches in Western Australia. We recommend visiting Two Peoples Bay, Betty’s Beach, Misery Beach, or Emu point.
Food and Wine
While the wedding catering will showcase local produce and cuisine, we recommend exploring what else the Great Southern has to offer.
